Germany
I travelled Europe in the beginning of November month and weather conditions are dated accordingly.
I visited the ancient ‘Cologne Cathedral’ constructed in 12th century and still construction work goes on to build the finest architecture. It’s believed that if the construction work of this cathedral stops, the world will stop. I stayed overnight at Cologne.
Next morning started at a temperature of 0 ºC in Cologne to travel to Black Forest, Germany. During the entire journey of 4 hours from Cologne to Black Forest, I had the beautiful sceneries on highways. This is the most beauty of nature during my road journeys till date.
The forest is very dense with colourful trees on the mountain slopes everywhere; one can feel darkness inside the forest even during day time and so it has the name. When you plan to walk in this forest, ensure to do in groups as one can go missing in this forest easily. It is definitely unique forest view than any other forests.
I had my lunch in the restaurant located near ‘Cuckoo Clock Factory’ in Black Forest (probably no restaurant found except this one in such a long journey). If you love to hear cuckoo sound in your home, buy the clock here as this is original cuckoo clock which is MADE IN GERMANY. The building is a gigantic cuckoo clock itself. They have more than 500 clock models displayed in the museum and people can choose to buy referring models. Mechanical clocks start at 500 Euros and battery operated clocks start at 150 Euros in which former one is the traditional and so is the price. Later on, I continued my travel to ‘Rhine falls’, Switzerland which takes 1:30 hours from Black Forest and targeted to reach by 5 P.M. as it turns dark everywhere.
While crossing the border of Germany, remember not to click any photos even from your vehicle as it is illegal at the border of Germany.
