Europe
Europe is a beautiful continent lying in the Northern Hemisphere which has tourist attractions throughout the year. People from different parts of the world prefer to work here or go for a vacation to visit the ‘World Wonders’ once in a life time. Amidst the modernization, it stays high with the serene beauty of mountains, rivers, lakes and forests everywhere. I’m sharing my experience in Europe here covering many beautiful countries.
I would suggest doing Europe travels through travel agencies. While considering VISA processing for England and European Union and travelling across borders of each country, it is good to go in group for safety and ease of travel. I travelled Europe in the beginning of November month and weather conditions are dated accordingly.
My flight was late at Mumbai by an hour and started at 8.30 A.M. IST and reached London at 6.30 P.M. IST.
I landed in ‘Heathrow Airport’ after having two meals up in the sky. Weather was shivering cold at the exit of airport and I need to make sure to keep myself warm wearing hood sweatshirt, gloves and woollen cap.
I had a bus travel to ‘London Eye’ while on the way admiring the beauty of ‘River Thames’ running through the city. I went on the London eye ride by evening from where one can watch the majestic view of London city and famous buildings including, British Parliament, Big Ben, etc. The ride is for half an hour and make sure to click your photos 360 degrees.
My next day started in London and weather is cold, cloudy and drizzling at a temperature of 11º C which makes you feel lovely with your loved one.
I visited ‘National Gallery’ in ‘Trafalgar Square’ which is an iconic square in London with fountains and lion statues. You’ll find ‘Nelson’s Column’ which is a monument built to commemorate Admiral Horatio Nelson who died at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.
I took a city tour by bus and saw highlights like, West Minster Cathedral, Big Ben, Natural History Museum, Sloan St. (the street has shopping complex comprising only the world’s top brands).
Later, visited the famous ‘Buckingham Palace’ around 11 A.M. and waited for guards changing ceremony at 11.30 P.M., there comes the guards’ parade with a wonderful band and they finally entered into the guards’ house. Make sure to stick to a place to watch this ceremony as it gets more crowded.
I travelled on ‘Tower Bridge’ (There is a myth calling ‘Tower Bridge’ as ‘London Bridge’ where former is the dynamic bridge opening for the big ships to pass through and latter is the old static bridge) by bus and went for photo-shoot near it.
Finally, visited ‘Madame Tussauds Wax Museum’ and clicked photos with Hollywood and Indian celebrities’ wax statues like, Tom Cruise, Leonardo di Caprio, Vin Diesel, The British Royal Family, Princess Diana, Sharukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Aishwariya Rai and many more. I did a couple wax hands for 25 pounds in the museum and it is a beautiful one. I would suggest wax hands stays good with its beauty and filling won't be necessary. At the exit of the museum, you’ll find souvenir shops to buy magnets with London images and many more.
Next day, I started from my hotel at 5.45 A.M. to board Eurostar from London to Paris at St Pancras International by 8:30 A.M. where security check and immigration are done.
